Experience the Flavors of Albuquerque's Food Trucks

by Sandi Pressley

Albuquerque is a city with a vibrant street food culture that offers a diverse array of culinary delights. Among these are the food trucks that roam the streets, bringing delicious and innovative food to locals and visitors alike. In this blog, we'll take a closer look at some of the best food trucks in Albuquerque, where the flavors are as rich as the cultural tapestry of the city.

Kitsune Food Truck

Kitsune Food Truck stands out with its Asian-inspired menu, bringing an interpretation of flavors from China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. The Korean fried chicken and bulgogi burrito have received high praise for their tastiness and creativity. You can find Kitsune Food Truck at 1501 1st St NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87102, and they can be reached at (505) 489-7800.

Taco Bus

Taco Bus offers a Mexican culinary experience with a variety of options including tacos, burritos, and soups. The Taco Bus Burger, in particular, has been described as a transformative experience for some customers. With a perfect Tripadvisor rating, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for fresh and fun Mexican cuisine.

Kimo's Hawaiian BBQ

For a taste of the islands, Kimo's Hawaiian BBQ provides authentic Hawaiian BBQ with popular dishes like Katsu Chicken and Mac Salad. While some guests have found the Kahlua Pork to be inconsistent, the affordable prices and generally positive reception make it a worthy stop for those craving Hawaiian flavors.

Caveman Burgers

Caveman Burgers is known for its grilled burgers with fresh ingredients. Customers rave about the taste and quality of the burgers. If you're a burger enthusiast, the unique taste of Caveman Burgers' offerings is something you won't want to miss.

Root 66 Food Truck

Root 66 Food Truck is a haven for vegan food lovers, serving up Mexican/American comfort food with a plant-based twist. Located at 1321 Eubank Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87112, this food truck is a standout for those seeking a meat-free option. The burrito, in particular, is a big portion with good flavor from the vegan protein and tastes like smoky BBQ ribs. Despite sometimes long wait times, the food is worth the wait. They can be contacted at (575) 404-1728.

Food Truck Fridays are another staple of Albuquerque's food scene, taking place from March through September at Civic Plaza. This event brings together a variety of local food trucks, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the sunshine and sample a wide assortment of creative eats. It's a perfect way to kick off the weekend and experience the city's vibrant community spirit.

Albuquerque's food trucks are more than just a meal on wheels; they are a reflection of the city's spirit and creativity. Whether you're in the mood for Asian fusion, Mexican classics, Hawaiian BBQ, or a hearty burger, the food trucks of Albuquerque are sure to satisfy your cravings and offer a memorable dining experience.
